Travel grants 2022

Grants are available to support attendance at Molluscs 2022 (28th November – 1st December, Gold Coast, Australia)

Total funding provided will depend on your budget, but will cover the costs of registration as well as a contribution toward travel. Please note that grants will NOT cover total costs, and ensure that additional funding will be available if your grant application is successful.

Applicants must currently be enrolled as a student OR must not have access to conference support from an employer, and must be members of the Malacological Society of Australasia.

To apply, please complete the Travel Grant Application form located HERE. Completed forms should be emailed to molluscs@willorganise.com.au. Successful applicants will be expected to give an oral presentation at the conference, and provision of an abstract via the registration portal forms part of the required application documentation.

The final date for submission of applications is August 12.

Students working on molluscan systematics and taxonomy are also eligible to apply for a student travel grant from the Society of Australian Systematic Biologists, information can be found here: https://www.sasb.org.au/awards. The closing date for the next round is on September 1. Note that this is after the Early Bird registration deadline, so ensure you factor in standard student registration fees.
